On 9 October, the newbuild ship Hamanasu, destined for New Japan Sea Ferry’s Maizuru–Otaru route, was launched at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Shimonoseki Shipyard. The vessel is scheduled to debut in June 2026.
