Marvale 1922 Canadian Pacific

On May 21, 1923, the Marvale , with 437 passengers and crew, ran aground in thick fog at the entrance to Trepassey Bay at Cape Pine, about 25 miles west of Cape Race on the Newfoundland coast. The ship was evacuated within 25 minutes & all on board were brought to safety. The ship sank a short time later.
